Colleen Kuxhaus

Biography

Colleen Kuxhaus, R.D.H., B.S., M.A., Clinical Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of Post-Graduate Periodontics and Implantology at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.  Professor Kuxhaus received her RDH certificate from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry, her BS from the University of Detroit and her Masters of Arts degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. After 30 years of private practice she returned to the dental school as a clinical and didactic instructor.  Currently she instructs clinical applications of periodontal examination and treatment in pre-clinical courses and on the clinic floor. Professor Kuxhaus received the Allied Alumnus of the Year in 2013 and is an honorary member of OKU.  She enjoys traveling by car with her husband and is an avid golfer.  She and her husband volunteer for numerous events and activities, including those through the Detroit Sports Commission.  She is a member of ADEA and the recording secretary of its GSA section.
