Biography

Prof. Manning-Lee teaches periodontal skills to pre-clinical and clinical dental students. She has been a continuing education presenter on various topics involving periodontal instrumentation (powered, manual and advanced), emerging technologies, as well as ergonomics, dental implant maintenance and oral hygiene care products. Prof. Manning-Lee earned a Certificate in Dental Hygiene in 1994, a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 1995, and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction in 2012, all from the University of Detroit Mercy. She serves on the Michigan Dental Association Care & Well-Being Committee and enjoys traveling with student groups mission trips to assist in providing dental services to poverty-stricken regions of the world.  She continues to work clinically in a prosthodontic practice. She joined the university in 1995.
